Lace blouse and long skirt set

A two-piece ceremony outfit: a fitted blouse in lace and embroidery, a long flared skirt down to the ankles.

This set is made up of a fitted blouse and a long skirt cut in the same figured fabric, with a raised floral motif. The two pieces are coordinated from the start: you put it on and the outfit is done — no colours to match, no piece to find.

The blouse

The cut is shaped at the waist and finishes in a small flared peplum, which covers the top of the hips without gripping. The V-neckline is edged with gathered lace, echoed in panels on the shoulders and the top of the sleeves. Floral embroidery in scrolls runs down the front, from the waist towards the hips.

The long sleeves are set at the shoulder, with a slight volume at the top, and draw in at the wrist. At the back, ribbon lacing ties at the waist: you set the shaping yourself, according to your figure and to the day.

The skirt

High waist, flared A-line cut, ankle length. The drape stays fluid and covering, with no awkward transparency. The flare leaves ease for walking, sitting and dancing.

How to wear it

Fabric and care

Composition: The exact composition is not communicated by the manufacturer; it appears on the garment's sewn-in label. It is a figured fabric of the jacquard type, with a raised floral motif, combined with lace and applied embroidery. The handle is dry and lightly structured, with a fluid drape on the skirt.

Care: Hand wash at 30 °C or machine wash on a delicate programme, in a net bag, with the garment turned inside out. No bleach. Dry flat or on a hanger, away from direct sunlight; no tumble dryer, which damages the lace and the embroidery. Iron at low temperature on the reverse, avoiding the embroidered areas and any direct pass of the iron over the lace. Untie the back lacing before washing.

Size

Four sizes available: M, L, XL, XXL. Blouse measurements taken flat, doubled for the bust. M: bust 92 cm, shoulders 31 cm, sleeve 65 cm, length 62 cm. L: bust 96 cm, shoulders 32 cm, sleeve 66 cm, length 63 cm. XL: bust 100 cm, shoulders 33 cm, sleeve 67 cm, length 64 cm. XXL: bust 104 cm, shoulders 34 cm, sleeve 68 cm, length 65 cm. Tolerance of about 3 cm depending on the cut and the measuring method. The cut is fitted: if your bust measurement is close to the upper value of a size, or if you want more ease at the armholes, take the size up. The back lacing lets you make up a few centimetres at the waist.

Good to know

• The composition is not stated — is that a problem? We prefer to invent nothing: the manufacturer has not passed on the detail of the fibres, and it appears on the sewn-in label. What we can describe is the fabric itself: figured, with a raised floral motif, dry to the touch, with a fluid drape on the skirt. If the material does not suit you on arrival, an exchange or a return remains possible.
• The blouse is fitted — will it be tight on me? The ribbon lacing at the back adjusts as you like, which gives a few centimetres of latitude at the waist. Go above all by the bust and shoulder measurements given in the size guide, keeping the 3 cm tolerance in mind. If you hesitate between two sizes, the larger remains the safer choice on a fitted cut.
• Will this outfit only be worn once? The two pieces are worn separately. The long skirt pairs with a fine jumper or a plain T-shirt; the blouse tucks into raw jeans or black trousers. The complete set stays reserved for ceremonies, but each piece has a life of its own the rest of the year.
