Embroidered denim set, hooded jacket and long skirt

The cut

The jacket is frankly oversized: dropped shoulders, long full sleeves, a rounded and slightly asymmetric hem. It fastens with buttons at the front and keeps comfortable ease over a fine sweater or a t-shirt. The hood is lined in denim; it holds its shape without collapsing.

The skirt is high-waisted and falls to the ankles. Vertical seams underlined with frayed flounces structure the drape, and the hem is edged with a gathered flounce that gives movement as you walk. A slit makes walking easier.

How to wear it

As a set, with flat ankle boots or low sneakers and a plain top to let the denim speak. The two pieces separate very well: the jacket over straight-leg jeans or a long dress, the skirt with a ribbed sweater tucked in at the waist and a fine belt. The washed blue is the easiest to match, the black gives a more graphic look.

Fabric and care

Composition: 100% cotton (denim), washed and lightly aged look. Embroidery and frayed edges made in the same fabric.

Care: Wash at 30 °C inside out, delicate cycle, with dark colors for the first washes. No bleach. Air dry flat or on a wide hanger; machine drying is not advised. Iron at medium temperature on the reverse. The frayed edges may lose a few threads in the first wash: that is the intended look, do not cut them too short.

Size

One size, designed roomy. The jacket is very oversized and generally corresponds to a size S to XL depending on the ease you want. The supplier has not provided a measurement chart. The skirt has a slightly stretchy high waist and a flared drape; it covers the same range. Skirt length at the ankle on a height of about 1.65 m to 1.70 m. If you are over 1.75 m, expect a mid-calf to ankle length.

Good to know

• Will one size really fit me? The set is deliberately cut roomy: the jacket falls off the shoulders and the skirt flares from the high waist. The look changes with your build, but the ease stays comfortable across a size S to XL. If you usually wear an XS, expect a very oversized effect on the jacket.
• Will the frayed edges be damaged in the wash? No, the fraying is made on secured selvedges. A few threads may come away in the first wash, then the edge settles. Washing at 30 °C inside out and air drying is enough to keep it.
• A denim set — isn't that too much for every day? Worn head to toe, it owns its retro side. But the two pieces work separately: the jacket over jeans or a dress, the skirt with a plain knit. You get three different outfits from a single purchase.
