A set in cotton denim, made up of a short hooded jacket and wide-leg pants. Both pieces share the same nuanced wash and the same floral embroidery, underlined by woven jacquard trims. The set is worn coordinated, or split up with the rest of your wardrobe.

The jacket

Short, generous cut, dropped shoulders, balloon sleeves finished with a classic cuff. The central zip runs up to the hood, lined in denim, supple and well held. Two large patch pockets with embroidered flaps dress the front. A small gathered flounce closes the hem, which gives the silhouette its look.

The pants

Elasticated waist with a visible drawcord, no stiff fastening, straight to pull on. The cut is wide at the top of the thigh then falls straight, down to cover the shoe. The wash is more pronounced on the front of the thighs, as on jeans worn for a long time. The floral embroidery echoes the jacket at the bottom of the legs.

The fabric

100% cotton denim, of medium weight: firm enough to hold the volumes, supple enough not to feel like cardboard. The look is washed, slightly uneven. It softens further with each wash.

How to wear it

• As a set, with a plain white or black t-shirt and low sneakers.
• The jacket on its own over a fluid dress or straight-leg jeans, hood out.
• The pants on their own with a fine sweater tucked in at the waist and ankle boots.

Fabric and care

Composition: Outer: 100% cotton denim. Hood lined in denim. Thread-by-thread floral embroidery, woven jacquard trims on the opening, the pockets and the hem of the jacket. Metal zip fastening. Elasticated pant waist with a drawcord.

Care: Machine wash at 30 °C, delicate cycle, inside out. Wash the piece separately for the first few times: washed denim can bleed. No bleach. Air dry, flat or on a wide hanger; tumble drying is not advised. Iron inside out, medium temperature, avoiding the embroidered areas and the trims. Dry cleaning is possible.

Size

One size, built on a roomy cut. It generally corresponds to a size S to XL, with a closer drape at the larger sizes and a fuller one at the smaller. The supplier has not provided a measurement chart. The pants, with an elasticated drawcord waist, adjust to your waist; expect a length designed to cover the shoe on a frame of about 1.65 m to 1.72 m. Above that, the leg will fall at the ankle. If you are unsure, measure a pair of wide pants you already wear and compare the thigh width.

Good to know

• Can one size really fit me? The set is cut roomy by construction: dropped shoulders on the jacket, elasticated drawcord waist on the pants. That is what lets a single size fall correctly across an S to XL range. The real thing to check is the leg length: measure flat a pair of wide pants you already wear and compare.
• Will the denim bleed or lose its embroidery? Like any washed denim, it may bleed slightly in the first washes: wash it on its own, inside out, at 30 °C. The embroidery is stitched into the cloth and the trims are sewn, not glued. Avoiding the tumble dryer and the iron directly on the motifs, they last.
• Is it too much to wear often? The full set is a statement outfit. But the two pieces separate very well: the jacket wears like a mid-season blouson over jeans, the pants with a plain top. That is how it serves most often.
