A two-piece set in washed denim: zip-up hooded jacket and very roomy pants, a silhouette ready in one go.

A coordinated set conceived as a head-to-toe denim look. The short hooded jacket closes with a zip down the full height, with dropped shoulders and a straight hem stopping at the waist. The pants take the same washed fabric: very roomy on the thigh, tapered towards the ankle, with a rolled hem that breaks the volume.

The fabric

A polyester denim treated by dyeing and washing, which gives it uneven shading and an already-worn look. It is lighter and more supple than classic cotton jeans, less stiff to put on, and it barely creases. Contrasting woven bands structure the bottom of the jacket, the cuffs and the side of the pants.

The cut

A wide, covering volume on both pieces. The jacket hangs straight, without marking the waist. The pants are worn high, with a visible elasticated waist at the back that gives ease without a belt. The raw frayed hems, the panel seams and the visible topstitching on the legs own the workwear side.

How to wear it

As a set, with a plain t-shirt and low sneakers: the silhouette holds on its own. Separately, the jacket sits over a straight dress or raw denim jeans, the pants pair with a short sweater or a tucked-in tank to keep the waist readable. Two clearly different colors: a washed blue and a charcoal black.

A mid-season set, to wear over a fine knit as soon as the temperature drops.

Fabric and care

Composition: 100% polyester denim, dyed and washed. Panels and bands in a contrasting fabric. Lined hood. Metal zip fastening on the jacket. Elasticated waist at the back of the pants.

Care: Machine wash at 30 °C, inside out, on a delicate cycle. Do not use bleach. Air dry, flat or on a hanger: avoid the tumble dryer, which can stiffen the woven panels. Iron gently on the reverse if needed, avoiding the zip and the contrasting bands. The raw frayed hems soften over the washes; that is the choice made for the piece.

Size

Offered in one size, with an unapologetic oversized volume. It generally corresponds to a size S to XL, the elasticated waist at the back of the pants absorbing the differences. Beyond that the jacket is still wearable but the pants will be closer on the hips. The pants measure about 100 cm inseam: the rolled hem falls on the ankle for a height of 1.65 m to 1.72 m, and higher above that. If you are hesitating between two volumes, note that the piece does not nip in at the waist: it is made to be wide.

• Polyester for denim — is it worth it? It is a choice of fabric, not a hidden compromise. This polyester denim is lighter and more supple than cotton jeans, it does not bag at the knees and barely creases. On the other hand it breathes less than cotton: it is a mid-season piece, not a summer one.
• One size — does that really work on me? The cut is deliberately wide, with no darts or waist adjustment, and the pants are elasticated at the back. It generally corresponds to a size S to XL. If you are after a fitted silhouette, this is not the right piece.
