Buttoned tunic and long skirt set

A coordinated set that settles the morning question: a buttoned tunic with a mandarin collar and a flared long skirt, cut in the same polyester with a peachskin handle. The fabric is matte, supple, with no shine, and falls straight without clinging to the body.

The cut

The tunic is loose, with low armholes that leave the arm free. A drawstring at the waist lets you draw it in as much as you like: tied, it creates a small flared peplum over the hips; left loose, the piece stays straight and covering. The rounded hem lengthens the silhouette.

The skirt is long, very full, and falls to the ankles. Its flared cut moves as you walk without clinging to the hips.

How to wear it

Worn as a set, all you need to add is flat ankle boots or loafers for a working day. The deep brown goes with beige, ecru, khaki and navy. The two pieces separate easily: the tunic over straight jeans, the skirt with a fine jumper tucked in at the waist. In mid-season, a long coat or a wool jacket goes over the top without bulk.

The original supplier photograph, lit in yellow light, pulled the brown towards russet: the real shade is a deep, muted brown.

Fabric and care

Composition: 100% polyester, bonded fabric with a peachskin handle. Matte surface, fluid drape, supple hold.

Care: Machine wash at 30 °C, delicate cycle, with similar colours. No bleach. Air dry on a hanger for the tunic, flat or hanging for the skirt. Polyester dries quickly and creases little; if needed, iron at low temperature on the reverse, or steam from a distance.

Size

A loose cut on both pieces. Take your usual size: the waist drawstring lets you adjust the tunic, and the skirt is flared. If you are between two sizes, the smaller one is generally enough, unless you prefer a more pronounced volume on the shoulders and sleeves. Sizes available: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL. The skirt is long, designed to fall at the ankles on an average height (about 1.65 m to 1.70 m); above that, it will sit slightly shorter.

Good to know

• Polyester — isn't it hot or unpleasant to wear? This polyester has a peachskin finish: the surface is soft and matte, far from shiny, stiff polyester. It is still a synthetic material, so not very breathable in high heat, but well suited to mid-season and winter, especially with a fine roll-neck.
• Will the loose set make my silhouette look wider? The waist drawstring changes everything: drawn in, it marks the waist and lets the fabric flare below. The high mandarin collar and the ankle length lengthen the vertical line. If you are after a more discreet volume, tie the drawstring and let the tunic blouse slightly.
• Can I wear the two pieces separately? Yes. The tunic works over straight trousers or jeans, and the skirt pairs with a fine knit or a shirt. It is a set, not one inseparable piece.
