Double-breasted faux suede jacket

A double-breasted jacket in matte faux suede, notched collar and double-breasted front, to wear from the office to the weekend.

This double-breasted jacket takes up the codes of the classic blazer in a softer material: a matte faux suede with a velvety handle, of medium weight, which falls without stiffness. The rust colourway goes naturally with beiges, ecrus and raw denim.

The cut

A straight cut, lightly shaped at the waist thanks to panel seams and princess seams at the back. The shoulders are structured, the hem flares discreetly. The length stays at mid-hip: 66 cm in XS, 69.5 cm in L. It is therefore worn just as well over wide trousers as over a midi skirt.

How to wear it

Fastened over straight trousers and ankle boots, it holds an office look. Open over a white T-shirt and jeans, it turns into weekend wear. In mid-season, it stands on its own; in winter, it slips under a long coat provided you keep a fine jumper underneath.

Fabric and care

Composition: 100% polyester (woven faux suede, suede leather look). Tonal lining. Weight of the jacket: about 0.8 kg.

Care: Machine wash at 30 °C on a delicate programme, inside out, in a net bag. Dry cleaning is also possible. No tumble dryer. Dry flat or on a wide hanger, away from a heat source. Iron at low temperature on the reverse, or steam from a distance. Brush the faux suede in the direction of the nap once dry to give it back its velvety look.

A regular cut, true to size. Measurements taken flat, tolerance 1 to 2 cm. XS: length 66 cm, shoulders 39 cm, bust 86 cm, waist 76 cm, hem 100 cm, sleeve 61 cm. S: 67 / 40 / 90 / 80 / 104 / 62 cm. M: 68 / 41 / 94 / 84 / 108 / 63 cm. L: 69.5 / 42.5 / 100 / 90 / 114 / 64.5 cm. If you plan to wear it over a jumper, take the size up.

Good to know

• Does polyester faux suede look synthetic to the eye? The material is matte, with no shine: that is what gives the suede leather look. The result is close to suede, in a more supple and easier-to-care-for version. That said, it is not leather and we do not present it as such.
• Is the jacket warm? It is a medium weight, lined: it suits mid-season and mild winter days. In real cold, wear it under a coat or over a thick knit.
• Does the double-breasted front pull too much at the bust? The waist panel seams and the princess seams at the back spread the ease, and the hem flares slightly. If you hesitate between two sizes, go by the flat bust measurement given in the guide: count on 4 to 6 cm of ease for comfortable wear when fastened.
