A short, zipped blouson, cut in a material with a matte faux suede look. The cut is deliberately wide: dropped shoulders, full sleeves, a straight hem stopping at the waist. It is a mid-season piece that replaces the blazer on days when you want something more relaxed, without losing shape.

The fabric

A textile with a faux suede handle, matte and supple, reminiscent of suede split leather. It does not shine, does not creak and takes the movement without cracking. The light lining, visible at the opening, limits catching on fine knits and makes it easier to put on.

The cut

An openly oversized volume but a short one: 65 to 68 cm in total length depending on the size. The horizontal panel seams on the front and back structure the blouson and stop it sagging. The shirt collar, flat with pronounced points, stands well open even without being pressed. The bottom of the sleeve closes with a press stud, which lets you roll it up neatly.

How to wear it

• Over a white T-shirt and straight jeans, zip open, collar up.
• Zipped to mid-chest over a fine knit, with high-waisted wide trousers: the short length lengthens the leg.
• The cognac brown goes with beige, ecru and raw denim; the black remains the easiest version in town.

Fabric and care

Composition: Outer with a faux suede handle (microfibre with a suede effect), light woven lining. The detailed composition is not communicated by our supplier: we prefer to say so rather than put forward a figure. This is not animal leather.

Care: Dry cleaning recommended. No washing machine and no tumble dryer: faux suede stiffens in hot water. In everyday use, brush dry with a soft brush in the direction of the nap to revive the velvety surface. Dab light marks with a barely damp cloth, without rubbing. Ironing on the right side is not advised; use a pressing cloth at low temperature if necessary. Dry flat, away from a heat source, after a shower of rain. Hang on a wide hanger to preserve the shoulder line.

Size

Garment measurements taken flat, converted to full circumference, tolerance of 1 to 3 cm depending on the measuring method. S: length 65 cm, bust 120 cm, shoulder width 54 cm, sleeve 53 cm. M: 66 / 124 / 55.5 / 54. L: 67 / 128 / 57 / 55. XL: 68 / 132 / 58.5 / 56. The cut is oversized: the bust measurement goes well beyond the body measurement, and that is intended. Take your usual size for the volume shown in the photos. If you prefer a blouson closer to the body, or if you are under 1.60 m, go down a size. To layer a thick jumper underneath, go up a size.

Good to know

• Is it real leather? No. It is a material with a faux suede look, matte and supple, that imitates suede. We do not sell it as leather. The advantage: it is lighter, easier to wear in mid-season and appreciably less expensive.
• The stated bust measurement looks enormous to me. These are the garment's measurements, not the body's. The cut is oversized with dropped shoulders: the volume is in the pattern. Go by your usual size, or down a size if you want a cleaner drape.
• Is it warm? It is a mid-season blouson, lined but not quilted. It is comfortable in spring and autumn, over a T-shirt or a fine knit. In deep winter, it will serve as a layer under a coat or indoors.
