Denim set, hooded jacket and balloon pants

A two-piece set in washed denim: short jacket with a printed hood and balloon pants with an elasticated waist.

A coordinated set in washed cotton denim, designed to be worn as it is. The jacket is short, roomy, with dropped shoulders and a button fastening. The pants take the same denim, in a balloon volume gathered at the ankles.

The aged wash gives the set an already-worn look, with no breaking-in phase. The fabric is water-washed: it drapes softly from the first wear.

The cut

The jacket stops at the waist and leaves ease across the bodice. The dropped shoulders play up the volume, the long sleeves finish with a printed facing. The pants sit on a fully elasticated waist, widen over the thighs then gather with an elasticated flounce at the bottom of the leg. The result is a pronounced balloon volume that leaves movement free.

How to wear it

A season for mid-season, autumn and mild winter. Under the jacket, a fine knit or a light sweatshirt fits without getting in the way.

Fabric and care

Composition: Cotton denim. Water-wash finish (aged wash). Hood lining and sleeve facings in a contrasting printed fabric.

Care: Machine wash at 30 °C on a delicate cycle, inside out, with similar colors. Washed denim may bleed slightly in the first washes: wash it on its own the first time. No bleach. Air dry, flat or on a hanger, preferably in the shade. Iron at medium temperature on the reverse if needed. Tumble drying is not advised.

Size

Offered in one size, cut wide. The jacket is roomy at the shoulders and short at the waist; the pants have a fully elasticated waist and a balloon volume. The set generally corresponds to a size S to XL, with a fuller drape on smaller sizes and a closer one on larger. The supplier has not provided a measurement chart. If you are unsure, measure a pair of elasticated pants you already wear and compare the waist at rest.

Good to know

• One size — can that really fit me? The cut is deliberately oversized and the pant waist is fully elasticated: that is what allows a wide range, a size S to XL or so. The set will simply not be worn the same way depending on your build: more floating on a small size, closer to the body above.
• Will the denim be stiff at first? No. The water-wash finish softens the fabric beforehand. The denim already drapes softly on the first wear and the aged wash is there from the start; it is not something to be earned over time.
• Isn't it too much to wear often? The two pieces separate without difficulty. The short jacket goes over jeans or a dress, the balloon pants with a fine knit. The full denim look stays an option, not an obligation.
