Paisley denim set, hooded jacket and wide trousers

A two-piece denim set, zip-up hooded jacket and wide-leg pants, lifted by printed paisley panels.

A coordinated denim set, designed to be worn together or apart. The jacket is short, zipped the full height, with a lined hood and dropped shoulders. The pants sit high on the waist and open into a wide volume, slightly tapered, finished with a turn-up.

What sets the piece apart: printed fabric panels placed on the shoulders, the sleeves and the upper back, echoed on the thigh pocket and the turn-up at the bottom of the pant leg. Floral and paisley pattern, contrasting topstitching, pronounced wash: the spirit is retro workwear, a little patchwork.

How to wear it

As a full denim look, with white sneakers or chunky-soled boots. The volume of the pants calls for a slightly structured shoe. Separately, the jacket goes over a white t-shirt and straight-leg jeans; the pants pair with a fine ribbed sweater, tucked in at the waist to mark the silhouette.

The denim

A denim in polyester fibers: lighter than heavy cotton denim, it holds its shape, does not crease easily and dries fast. The fabric drapes well over wide volumes and the print stays sharp in the wash. To wear in mid-season, and in winter over a fine knit.

Two colors: washed light blue, brighter, and washed black, more urban.

Fabric and care

Composition: 100% polyester denim. Panels and turn-ups in printed fabric (floral/paisley pattern), print technique. Lined hood. Ribbing at the wrists.

Care: Machine wash at 30 °C, delicate cycle, inside out to protect the print. Close the zip before washing. No bleach. Air dry on a hanger; tumble drying is not advised. Iron at low temperature on the reverse, without pressing on the printed areas.

Size

One size, cut generously. It generally corresponds to a size S to XL. Indicative measurements taken flat: jacket, chest width about 62 cm, back length about 55 cm, sleeve about 58 cm. Pants, waist about 34 cm flat (elasticated at the back), total length about 100 cm, inseam about 72 cm. Allow 1 to 2 cm of tolerance. If you are under 1.60 m, the turn-up on the pants can be raised or taken up by a few centimeters.

Good to know

• One size — can that really fit everyone? The set is designed to be roomy: the volume is the style. It generally corresponds to a size S to XL, with a pant waist elasticated at the back that absorbs the differences. Beyond that the jacket is still wearable, but the pants become closer-fitting than they look in the photos.
• Polyester denim — is it as good as cotton denim? It is a different denim, not a substitute. It is lighter, it does not bag at the knees, it dries fast and barely creases, which suits pants this wide. On the other hand it will not have the stiffness or the patina of heavy cotton denim: if that is the hand you are looking for, this is not the piece.
• Will the print fade in the wash? The pattern is printed on the panels. Washed at 30 °C, inside out and air dried, it keeps its sharpness. Avoid the tumble dryer and ironing directly on the print — those are the two causes of dulling.
