Denim set, jacket and wide-leg pants

A two-piece set in washed denim, lifted by floral panels, to wear together or separately.

A coordinated set in washed cotton denim: a short, roomy jacket and very wide pants with an elasticated waist. Both pieces are assembled from printed panels with a floral pattern, topstitched as patchwork. The result stays understated thanks to the washed blue that dominates, with that slightly retro feel of jeans already lived in.

The cut

The jacket hangs straight, shoulders slightly dropped, length at the waist. It closes with snap buttons and works as well closed as open over a t-shirt. The collar is a pointed shirt collar; two patch chest pockets break the verticality.

The pants are deliberately voluminous: a very wide leg gathering towards the ankle, balloon style. The waist is fully elasticated, with no button or fly, which is why they come in one size. Two large patch pockets on the front.

The fabric

Blended cotton denim, with a nuanced wash and wear effects. The drape is supple, not stiff: the pants keep their volume without feeling like cardboard. The fabric has an anti-crease treatment, useful on a roomy piece worn while travelling or all day.

• As a full denim look, with a white tank and low sneakers.
• The jacket alone, over a fluid dress or straight black pants.
• The pants alone, with a close-fitting top to balance the volume.

Fabric and care

Composition: Woven denim based on cotton (cotton content between 30% and 50%), completed with synthetic fibers for suppleness and hold. Panels in a printed fabric with a floral pattern. Anti-crease finish.

Care: Machine wash at 30 °C, inside out, with dark colors. Washed denim may bleed slightly in the first washes: wash it on its own the first time. No bleach. Air dry, flat or on a hanger, out of direct sun. Tumble drying is not advised. Iron at low temperature if needed, on the reverse to protect the printed panels.

Size

One size, designed for a roomy fit. The oversized cut of the jacket and the elasticated waist of the pants generally correspond to a size S to XL. The supplier has not provided a measurement chart. Beyond that the pants are still wearable thanks to the elastic, but the jacket will fall closer to the body. If you are under 1.60 m, you may want to plan a hem on the pants: the balloon leg is long.

Good to know

• Can one size really fit me? The pants adjust by themselves thanks to the elasticated waist, and the jacket is cut wide to begin with. The garment is designed for a roomy drape: it does not try to follow the silhouette. Builds from a size S to XL find their place in it, with a more or less voluminous result depending on the body.
• Is the denim stiff or uncomfortable? No. The cotton is blended with fibers that soften the fabric: the drape stays fluid and the pants do not feel like cardboard. There is no button or fly at the waist, which makes the set easy to wear for a long time.
• Will the floral pattern be exactly as in the photos? The placement of the panels follows the same pattern, but the precise position of the motif within the printed fabric may vary by a few centimeters depending on the cut. The overall look, the colors and the proportions stay those of the photographs.
