A hooded jacket in washed denim, oversized cut with printed panels, made for mid-season days.

A denim jacket that steps outside the classic: the hood is lined with a geometric-patterned fabric, and the same printed panels come back on the shoulders and the front. The rest is washed denim, with visible seams and deliberately frayed edges. The worn-in look is immediate, without waiting several seasons.

The cut

An oversized cut: dropped shoulders, roomy volume on the bodice, a length that stops mid-hip. The long sleeves finish in contrasting fabric cuffs. That volume leaves room for a sweatshirt or a fine cardigan underneath, without the armholes pulling.

How to wear it

Fabric and care

Composition: 100% polyester denim, washed look. Panels and hood lining in a printed fabric with geometric patterns. Cuffs in a contrasting fabric. The polyester holds color well through washing and dries fast; it breathes less than cotton denim, which shows most indoors in heated rooms.

Care: Machine wash at 30 °C, delicate cycle, inside out and preferably on its own for the first wash. No bleach. Air dry on a hanger, away from direct sun; avoid the tumble dryer, which can mark the printed panels. Iron at low temperature if needed, without passing the iron over the printed areas. The frayed edges are intended: a few threads may work loose, cut them with scissors rather than pulling on them.

Size

One size, cut oversized: it generally corresponds to a size S to XL, and the cut already allows for a heavy knit underneath. The supplier has not provided a measurement chart. The length stops mid-hip and the sleeves are long by construction; a light roll at the contrasting cuffs works well.

Good to know

• Polyester denim — is it worth it? Polyester gives a denim that is lighter and more supple than raw cotton, that keeps its color and dries fast. In exchange, it breathes less and will not develop the patina of cotton jeans. It is a deliberate choice for a graphic mid-season jacket, not for a workwear piece.
• Won't the oversized cut swallow me? The volume is on the bodice and the shoulders, but the length stops mid-hip: the silhouette stays marked at the waist. Worn with a straight or fitted bottom, it balances well. If you are unsure, measure a jacket you already wear flat and compare the chest width.
• Will the prints be damaged in the wash? They hold up provided you wash at 30 °C, inside out, and air dry. It is the heat of the tumble dryer and the iron placed directly on the print that wear them out, not the washing itself.
