Kimono jacket in washed denim

A collarless jacket, very roomy, in washed denim, with two large contrasting patch pockets on the front.

This jacket borrows its neckline from the kimono: no collar, a crossed V opening that frees the nape and softens the upper bodice. The rest is closer to the workwear wardrobe, with two large flap patch pockets set low on the front and visible buttons. The denim is a washed polyester fabric, with uneven shading, that gives a worn-in look straight away.

The cut

An unapologetic oversized volume. The shoulders drop clearly below the joint, the sleeves are wide and finish in a turn-back cuff, the length stops at the hips. The drape stays straight and fluid, without stiffness: the jacket keeps its shape when open and does not collapse on the shoulders. A central seam structures the back.

How to wear it

Open over a ribbed t-shirt and straight-leg jeans, it is the easiest mid-season jacket to throw on. Closed, with wide pants and ankle boots, the silhouette turns more graphic. The volume leaves room for a fine cardigan or a light sweatshirt underneath: this is a piece made for layering, not for a close fit.

Fabric and care

Composition: 100% polyester, woven in a denim weave and washed. A non-stretch denim, supple to the touch, which keeps its color in the wash and dries fast. Facing and pockets in a contrasting printed fabric.

Care: Machine wash at 30 °C on a delicate cycle, inside out, with similar colors for the first washes. No bleach. Air dry on a hanger; tumble drying is not advised. Iron gently if needed, on the reverse, avoiding the printed pockets.

Size

One size, cut deliberately wide: it generally corresponds to a size S to XL. The supplier has not provided a measurement chart. The shoulders drop below the joint and the sleeves are long, with a turn-back cuff that lets you adjust the height at the wrist. If you are unsure, compare the measurements given on this page with a jacket you already wear open.

Good to know

• Polyester denim — is it worth cotton denim? It is not the same fabric and we do not present it as such. Polyester denim is lighter, more supple, it does not stretch at the elbows and it dries fast. In exchange, it breathes less than heavy cotton: this is a mid-season jacket, not a winter blouson.
• Won't the oversized volume swamp me if I am petite? The length stops at the hips, which keeps the waist visible and avoids a coat effect. Worn open over a close-fitting base, with straight pants or a long skirt, the silhouette stays balanced. The turn-back cuffs also let you shorten the line of the arm.
• Can I buy the jacket on its own? Yes. The jacket can be ordered alone or as a set with the matching pants, in both washes. Choose the right option before adding to the cart.
