Short quilted hooded jacket

A short, quilted jacket, loose cut and a hood lined with check, designed for full silhouettes.

This quilted jacket stops just below the waist, between 40 and 50 cm in length depending on the size. The cut is loose, the shoulders dropped and the sleeves long and generous: the volume is cocooning, never tight. The hem draws in with a cord and tips, which lets you keep the blouson effect or define the line a little.

The fabric

Outer in quilted acrylic fibre, filling in acrylic wadding. The fabric stays light, with a little hold provided by the elastane. The quilting plays on two designs: vertical topstitching on the body, diamonds on the sleeves. It is a jacket for a mild winter or a cold mid-season, to wear over a jumper or a thick cardigan when the temperature drops.

• Central two-way zip fastening, practical when you sit down or want to open the bottom.
• Hood lined in a checked fabric, with a removable fur collar and press studs at the neck.

How to wear it

Its short length works well with wide trousers, high-waisted straight jeans and long skirts: the jacket stops where the volume of the bottom begins. By day, a ribbed jumper, trainers or flat boots. In the evening, tailored trousers and ankle boots are enough to lift it a notch. The checked turn-backs bring the only touch of pattern: keep the rest plain.

Fabric and care

Composition: Outer: 100% quilted acrylic fibre, with elastane for suppleness. Filling: acrylic wadding. Hood lining and cuff turn-backs: checked fabric. Removable faux fur collar.

Care: Hand wash or machine wash at 30 °C, delicate cycle, inside out with the zip closed. Remove the faux fur collar before washing and clean it separately by hand. No bleach. Dry flat or on a hanger, in the open air: avoid the tumble dryer, which flattens the filling. Gentle ironing if necessary, on the reverse, without dwelling on the topstitching.

Size

Available in M, L and XL. The cut is deliberately loose, with dropped shoulders and extra-long sleeves: take your usual size for a cocooning volume. If you prefer a look closer to the body, or if you are between two sizes, choose the size down. The M suits a French 36-38, the L a 40-42, the XL a 44-46. Total length between 40 and 50 cm depending on the size.

Good to know

• Is it warm enough for winter? It is a light quilted jacket, filled with acrylic wadding. It is comfortable in autumn and in a mild winter. In real cold, layer a thick jumper or a knitted cardigan: the loose volume allows it without getting in the way.
• Won't the loose cut make me look wider? The short length stops above the hips and lengthens the leg, especially with a high waist. The drawcord at the hem lets you draw the bottom in if you want the silhouette defined.
• Is the fur collar really removable? Yes, it attaches with press studs at the neck and comes off entirely. You then have a plain hood lined with check, more sober, and you can clean the collar separately.
