Short faux suede blouson with a worn finish

A short brown faux suede blouson, oversized cut and ribbing, designed for high-waisted trousers.

This short blouson takes up the codes of the bomber jacket, in a softer version. The brown faux suede has a velvety handle and a slightly washed finish that avoids a new, stiff look. The garment is lined, which makes it pleasant to put on over a fine knit as well as over a sweatshirt.

The cut

The volume is full on the bust, with openly dropped shoulders. The length stays short: between 53 and 55 cm top to bottom depending on the size. The hem and the cuffs are finished in knitted rib, which draws the silhouette in at the waist and at the hands. The result: the blouson stays in place and does not blow open in the wind, while keeping comfort in the sleeves.

How to wear it

Care

Synthetic faux suede asks little effort, but no machine. A gentle brushing is enough to revive the velvety surface, and dry cleaning remains the safest solution to preserve the worn finish.

Fabric and care

Composition: Outer in synthetic faux suede (suede leather look). Knitted ribbing at the collar, cuffs and hem. Fully lined garment.

Care: Dry cleaning recommended. Do not machine wash, do not spin. Brush the faux suede with a soft brush to revive the velvety surface. Dab marks with a dry cloth, without rubbing. No tumble dryer, no direct ironing: hang the blouson on a wide hanger to keep its shape.

A deliberately loose cut. Measurements taken flat, in centimetres. S: length 53, shoulder width 53, bust 124, sleeve 54, cuff 19. M: length 54, shoulder width 54, bust 128, sleeve 54, cuff 19. L: length 55, shoulder width 55.5, bust 132, sleeve 55, cuff 20. The XL follows the same progression. If you prefer a volume closer to the body, take one size below your usual size. To layer a thick jumper underneath, stay on your size.

• Will the oversized volume swamp me if I am petite? The short length works in your favour: the ribbing sits at the waist and frees the legs. Wear it with high-waisted trousers and a slightly higher shoe to balance the volume of the bust.
• Is this blouson warm enough for winter? It is lined and the ribbing limits draughts, which suits mid-season and mild winters. In real cold, count on a thick knit or a roll-neck underneath.
• Does faux suede mark easily? It is a velvety synthetic material: it can keep marks from water or rubbing. A pass of a soft brush in the direction of the nap is usually enough to restore the original look.
