Two-tone denim set, jacket and wide-leg pants

A two-piece set in washed blue and black denim: zip-up hooded jacket and high-waisted wide-leg pants.

A coordinated set that stands on its own. The hooded jacket and the wide pants are cut from the same blue denim, assembled with contrasting washed-black panels. The result: a wide silhouette, structured by the seams, with an unapologetic workwear look.

The jacket

Oversized cut, dropped shoulders, length stopping at the hip. Central zip fastening, hood lined in the same denim, two low patch pockets and black ribbing at the wrists that holds the sleeve. Visible tonal topstitching underlines every panel.

The pants

High waist, very full and fluid leg, with no marked pleat. A contrasting band runs down the leg and a patch pocket on the thigh carries an openwork medallion motif. The bottom finishes in a fringed turn-up, left raw.

How to wear it

As a full look, with chunky sneakers or lug-sole boots, and a simple white t-shirt underneath. Separately too: the jacket over straight-leg jeans or a long skirt, the pants with a fine sweater tucked in at the waist to balance the volume. The denim is supple enough to layer over a sweatshirt in winter.

Fabric and care

Composition: Woven 100% polyester denim, washed finish. Black knit ribbing at the wrists. Panelled construction, visible topstitching. The polyester gives a denim that is lighter and more supple than raw cotton, and that holds its color through washing.

Care: Machine wash at 30 °C on a delicate cycle, inside out, with dark colors. No bleach. Air dry on a hanger; tumble drying is not advised. Iron gently if needed, on the reverse, avoiding the openwork motif on the pocket. The fringing at the bottom of the leg curls up in the wash: smooth it down by hand before drying.

Size

One size. The set is cut oversized: the jacket falls off the shoulder and the pants stay very full, which lets it generally correspond to a size S to XL. The supplier has not provided a measurement chart. The pants are long and high-waisted; they are designed to cover the shoe, so plan a hem if you are under 1.65 m and want to keep the fringing visible.

Good to know

• Polyester — does it really look like denim? The weave and the wash reproduce the look of denim, but the hand is more supple and lighter than raw cotton. In practice: less stiffness on the first wear, a lighter garment, and a color that barely moves in the wash. It is a denim for the look, not a workwear denim.
• Won't the set look too bulky on a small frame? The volume is pronounced — that is the point of the piece. To balance it, tuck a fitted top into the pants, leave the jacket open and add a chunky sole. You can also wear the two pieces separately with a closer-fitting top or bottom.
• Can I wear the jacket and the pants separately? Yes. Each piece works alone: the jacket over straight-leg jeans, a long skirt or black pants; the pants with a fine sweater, a shirt or a ribbed tank. The black panels make them easy to pair with a dark wardrobe.
