This set brings together two coordinated pieces in ribbed knit: a zip-up hooded jacket and a long skirt in the same fabric. The principle is simple — you have a complete outfit in one go, with no color matching to work out.

The cut

The jacket is roomy and long, with dropped shoulders that give a relaxed drape. The sleeves are wide and gather at the wrist with ribbing. The zip runs the full height, so you can wear it closed like a sweatshirt, or open over a t-shirt.

The skirt is straight, slightly flared towards the bottom, and falls to the ankle. Its elasticated waist stays soft: it does not dig in and adjusts through the day. The vertical ribbing lengthens the silhouette and moves with you.

The fabric

Ribbed knit in polyester fibers, supple and slightly stretchy. It keeps its shape, barely creases and suits cool mid-season days as well as heated interiors in winter. The hood is lined and tightens with a drawcord.

How to wear it

• As a full look, with white sneakers or flat ankle boots for everyday.
• Jacket open over a plain t-shirt, skirt tucked in to mark the waist.

Fabric and care

Composition: 100% polyester (ribbed knit), according to the information given by the maker. The original label was removed by the supplier.

Care: Machine wash at 30 °C, delicate cycle, inside out. No tumble dryer: ribbed knit recovers its shape better dried flat. Iron at low temperature if needed, or steam from a distance. Avoid bleach and wash bright colors separately the first few times.

Size

A deliberately roomy cut on the jacket (dropped shoulders, wide sleeves), fitted at the waist on the skirt thanks to the elastic. Take your usual size for the oversized drape shown in the photographs. If you prefer a jacket closer to the body, go down one size. Sizes available from XS to XXXL. The skirt falls at the ankle on a frame of about 1.68 m: expect a floor length below that, and higher if you are taller.

Good to know

• Polyester — does it keep you warm without stifling? The ribbed knit is knitted, not woven: it traps a little air and cuts a light wind. It suits mid-season and heated interiors. In deep winter, add a fine base layer and a coat.
• A long skirt — isn't it awkward to walk in? The skirt is straight but slightly flared towards the bottom, which leaves ease as you walk. It stops at the ankle, not on the floor, so it does not trail.
• Do the two pieces match in color? The jacket and the skirt are cut from the same knit and the same dye bath. The color and the rib are identical from one piece to the other.
