Wide washed black jeans with panel seams

These jeans play on a single idea: volume. The waist is high to mid-rise, the hips and thighs are wide, then the leg rounds out before falling straight and long over the shoe. It is the so-called barrel cut, which structures the silhouette without gripping.

The cotton denim, of standard weight, has been water washed. The black is therefore not uniform: it shades along the seams and the panels, which gives the material relief and avoids the flat effect of cold-dyed black jeans.

Care: Wash at 30 °C inside out, with dark colours, to preserve the wash. Avoid fabric softener and the tumble dryer, which spoil the hold of the denim. Air dry, flat or on a hanger. Iron at medium temperature on the reverse if necessary. The first few washes may bleed slightly: wash on its own the first time.

Size

Available in S, M, L and XL. The jeans are true to size at the waistband: S corresponds to a French 36, M to a 38/40, L to a 42, XL to a 44. The rest of the cut is deliberately full — no need to go up a size to gain volume. A long trouser length, designed to fall over the shoe: under 1.65 m, a hem may be necessary if you wear flat shoes.

Good to know

• Is the barrel cut wearable if I am not very tall? Yes, provided you wear the high waist where it belongs, on the natural waist, and keep a fitted or tucked-in top. The leg is long: with flat shoes, a hem of a few centimetres is enough to restore good proportions.
• Will the black fade in the wash? The water wash already gives a shaded black, deliberately uneven. Washed at 30 °C inside out and air dried, the colourway changes slowly and evenly. Avoid the tumble dryer, which speeds up fading.
• Is the denim too thick to wear for long? No, the weight is standard: neither a light summer denim nor a rigid canvas. It holds the loose cut without weighing, which makes it wearable by day as well as in the evening, from early autumn to spring.
