Striped jumper with a zipped funnel collar

A jumper in striped viscose knit, zipped funnel collar, short and slightly loose cut, to wear every day.

A Breton stripe revisited in knit. The ribbed funnel collar, wide and folded down, closes with a short metal zip and a rectangular pull. The ribbed panel draws a V that frames the face, with no need for a scarf.

The viscose knit is supple, of medium weight: covering enough for autumn and winter, fine enough to wear indoors all day without overheating.

The cut

A straight, slightly oversized cut, with dropped shoulders that soften the line. The body is short (about 50 to 65 cm in total length) and finishes in a wide rib, echoed at the cuffs. The result: a full volume at the top, a defined waist at the bottom.

How to wear it

• With high-waisted pleated trousers for a day at the office, the ribbing falling just on the waistband.
• Over straight jeans and white trainers at the weekend.
• With a pleated midi skirt and boots, zip pulled halfway up.
• Under a blazer or a trench: the folded collar sits very well over the lapel.

Fabric and care

Composition: 100% viscose. Medium-weight knit, ribbed collar, cuffs and hem.

Care: Hand wash or machine wash at 30 °C, delicate programme, in a net bag. Close the zip before washing. No tumble dryer, no bleach. Dry flat to preserve the shape of the ribbing. Iron at low temperature or steam from a distance. Viscose gives slightly when damp: avoid hanging the jumper wet on a hanger.

Size

One size, which generally corresponds to a size S to XL. A straight, slightly oversized cut, with dropped shoulders. Total length between 50 and 65 cm depending on the drape: the jumper stops at the waist or just below. If you like a closer fit, expect a full volume at the bust. Measurement tolerance of 1 to 2 cm, inherent to knitwear.

Good to know

• Can one size really fit me? The knit stretches and the cut is deliberately loose, with dropped shoulders: it generally corresponds to a size S to XL. Beyond that, the volume at the bust becomes tight.
• Does viscose last? Yes, provided you wash it cold on a delicate programme and dry it flat. Viscose likes neither the heat of the tumble dryer nor the weight of water on a hanger. Treated that way, the knit keeps its supple drape.
• The jumper is short: is it easy to wear? It is made for high-waisted trousers or a high-waisted skirt. The ribbing stops at the waistband and defines the waist. With a low waist, plan on a long vest top underneath.
