Denim set: hooded jacket with printed lining and wide-leg pants

A two-piece set in washed denim: an oversized jacket with a hood lined in a geometric print, with the matching very wide-leg pants.

The jacket is cut wide, with a hood lined in a printed fabric and two large patch pockets. It fastens with buttons at the front and works open over a sweatshirt as well as closed over a t-shirt. The denim is washed, with a lived-in effect that avoids looking too new.

The cut of the jacket

A frankly oversized volume: dropped shoulders, low armholes, wide sleeves, a length that stops mid-hip. The back is built with a central seam and panel seams, which structure the volume instead of letting it float. The cut leaves room to layer a thick sweatshirt or a cardigan underneath.

The pants

The pants are cut in the same washed denim as the jacket, in the same colourway. The leg is very wide from the hip all the way down, with a seam that rounds it slightly at the knee, and a patch pocket set on the thigh. The length falls over the shoe, as shown in the photos. Worn with the jacket, it makes the monochrome denim set; worn alone, it goes with a fitted top tucked in at the waist.

How to wear it

As a full set, with low sneakers: that is the silhouette in the photos. The jacket alone goes over raw denim jeans, or over a long skirt to break the demure side. The pants alone work with a fine knit tucked in at the waist. It is a mid-season outfit: perfect in October and April, and the jacket serves as a mid layer under a coat when the temperature drops.

The fabric

A denim woven in polyester, lighter and more supple than classic cotton denim. It does not stretch out with wear, dries fast and keeps its wash finish through the washes. In exchange, it is less breathable than cotton: better kept for cool temperatures.

Fabric and care

Composition: Denim woven in polyester (main composition: polyester). Washed look obtained by dyeing and printing. Panels, cuffs and hood lining in a contrasting printed fabric.

Care: Machine wash at 30 °C on a delicate cycle, jacket turned inside out and buttoned. No bleach. Air dry on a hanger, no tumble dryer, to protect the wash finish and the prints. Iron gently on the reverse, avoiding the printed areas. Dry cleaning is possible.

Size

One size in the oversized spirit: the cut is deliberately very roomy, with dropped shoulders and a mid-hip length. It generally corresponds to a size S to XL. The supplier has not provided a measurement chart. If you are under 1.60 m, the jacket will cover the top of the hips and the sleeves will fall low on the hand: the applied cuffs roll up easily. For layering over a thick sweater, the cut already allows for it.

The pants are one size too, in the same roomy spirit. We have no flat measurement chart for them: write to us and we will measure them before your order.

Good to know

• Are the pants really included in the price? Yes. This page sells both pieces together, which is what the colourways say — “black set” and “blue set”. The same jacket, sold on its own, exists on another page of the shop, at a different price.
• Polyester denim — does it look synthetic? The fabric is woven and washed like denim: it has the grain and the hold. It is simply lighter and more supple than cotton denim, dries faster and creases less. It is a deliberate choice for a mid-season set you reach for often.
• Won't the oversized cut widen me? The volume of the jacket is concentrated on the shoulders and the sleeves, and the length stops mid-hip. The panel seams at the back prevent a shapeless look. With the wide-leg pants, the set owns a full volume: that is a deliberate choice, not an accident of cut.
• Is it warm enough for winter? It is a mid-season set, unlined apart from the hood. It is comfortable from autumn to spring over a sweatshirt, and the jacket serves as a mid layer under a coat when the temperature drops.
